All our handcrafted soaps and premium personal care products are completely natural and organic. We prioritize the quality of our products by producing them in small, fresh batches using nothing but the finest, locally sourced, plant-based ingredients. Instead of using synthetic chemicals, fragrances, and colorants in our products, we use essential oils ONLY. But why?
We believe essential oils are important.
They are “essentially”, concentrated liquids that are extracted from plants. Apart from retaining the scent of the plant it was derived from giving our soaps and personal care products a fresh, natural aroma. Natural oils cater to all skin types and contain many antioxidants and natural properties which give our products many health benefits.

Synthetic fragrances
Synthetic fragrances can contain a combination of chemicals and are often petroleum based which is proven to be harmful for both adults and children. Some of these chemicals are carcinogens, allergens and may include phthalates and other neurotoxic chemicals which could lead to respiratory issues, cancer and even the development of birth defects as a result. These chemicals in synthetic fragrances can be toxic and detrimental to your health.
Synthetic colorants
Synthetic colorants/dyes are manufactured to add more color and vibrance to soaps and products, but don’t be fooled by what you see. These colorants are made from various non-renewable substances, most commonly from petrochemicals and coal tar. They can cause discomfort and irritation in the lungs, eyes and skin as many synthetic colorants contain carcinogens which are harmful to you. It is for these reasons we choose not to use synthetic colorants but to rather derive the color of our products from natural sources.
Mineral oils
Mineral oils have been known to cause a burning sensation when encountering the skin as well as further skin irritation and rashes. If inhaled, it can cause discomfort in the lungs resulting in difficulty in breathing and coughing. Apart from this, mineral oils are produced by refining petroleum which is a fossil fuel and is a nonrenewable product. By choosing not to use mineral oils in our products we ensure the safety of your health and actively reduce local use of non-renewable fossil fuels to support the environment.
Parabens
These collections of chemicals serve as preservatives in many personal care products but have been proven to disrupt and disturb the natural production of hormones in the human body such as testosterone and estrogen. This can affect the functioning of the reproductive systems which could negatively influence fertility, birth and reproductive growth.
PEGS
PEGS are polyethylene glycols. They are used in a variety of skin products to allow for better skin penetration and texture. Although this sounds good, it can have a negative effect as results in the improved absorption and penetration of other ingredients used in the product which may be toxic, carcinogenic, and potentially harmful. PEGS are also not biodegradable or very sustainable as they are made from Petroleum. As a result of this many products containing PEGS contaminate our planet leading to more pollution in our environment.
Sulfates
These mineral salts can be naturally sourced or man-made and have many potential side effects. Certain sulfates such as SLES and SLS commonly found in soaps can be harmful for people with eczema or sensitive skin as it causes dry and itchy skin, skin inflammation and redness.
